With so much technology and information at our fingertips, Nicholas has always used this to build on his strengths and redefine what’s possible now: Our zeitgeist

Nicholas is a planner and conceiver who remains forever optimistic about what’s technically possible and achievable. If it’s conceivable, it’s achievable. “If you don’t have the budget, you use the myriad of software and computing power to make it happen for less!” Like when he used a free controller app and built a device for $10 to wirelessly control the sound and lighting of a large Theatre show from an iPad.

Having grown up in a large arts centre, with regular concerts and events, the bug was well and truly planted for Nicholas to pursue a leftfield career but he hung onto the tech dearly and branched out in both London and Berlin as a Sound Engineer and eventually became a well renowned Audio Mastering Engineer running a record label (Mind Field Records) and running mastering tutoring as well as his own mastering business.

Artistically, Nicholas has spent most of his time as a music producer working under various aliases, and has been long standing audio visual technician over a broad range of skills and mediums. Nicholas D is now branching out in a new realm to combine everything into one evolving artform as a multi-media artist keen to provide striking interactive and technically wowing works with a motive!

Nicholas is particularly dedicated to invoking emotions and creating a fusion of technical mediums: sound, light, form and vision. The idea of senses flowing into a unified experience. Above all, attending a wide range of music and art events as both a performer and a technician, has left him with a true hunger to see more bold and interactive works that allow audience participation.
