THE PERFORMER
How can we unite sound, light, form and vision into a single evolving entity?
The Performer is a laser driven optical instrument driving a multimedia symbiosis of sound, light, form and colour. A powerful laser is split into 12 vertical beams that form a playable HARP. These laser beams are then reflected from overhead mirrors onto a large 9sqm diamond shaped, sculptural object consisting of 16 pyramid tiles (geometric surface). This shape is both lit up with carefully mapped visual projections and lighting to create an effect of an object that is alive!

White Night Ballarat 2024
The debut Performance for ‘The Performer’ will be at Ballarat’s Civic Hall on the 01st of June 2024. From 6pm - Midnight.
The Performer
A sensory synchronicity inviting the opportunity for any spectator to interact, perform and create a completely unique Audio-visual experience. An immersive experience engaging multiple senses, with the HARP serving as a focal point or catalyst for this multi-sensory journey - The Performer is aptly titled as anyone can now ‘perform’. Nicholas has single-handedly crafted and produced every aspect of The Performer, from the electronics and structure to the sound, light, vision, and overall composition.
Galaxy Dancer
A jazzy energetic embrace of sequenced laser patterns and dancers as they bounce their
way through a galaxy of spheres. Featuring interactive drum hits from audience participants
which in turn create laser blasts of light and alter the resulting experience.
